Good morning
We’re writing to bring your attention to an important public advisory from the UK Health Security Agency and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency regarding certain non-sterile, alcohol-free wipes.
The advisory recommends that the public stop using and dispose of specific non-sterile, alcohol-free wipes due to a risk of bacterial contamination. These products are not suitable for use on injuries, wounds, or broken skin.
The affected products are:
- ValueAid Alcohol Free Cleansing Wipes
- Microsafe Moist Wipe Alcohol Free
- Steroplast Sterowipe Alcohol Free Cleansing Wipes
- Reliwipe Alcohol Free Cleansing Wipes
If you have these products at home or in your first aid kits, we strongly advise you to check the labels and dispose of them as a precautionary measure.
For any cuts or grazes, please continue to follow NHS guidance. If you have any concerns about potential infection, please contact a healthcare professional.
Thank you for your attention to this important safety notice.
Kind regards
Steve Milsom
